Having grown up in the Cleveland, Ohio area enjoying Lake Erie in the summer and lake effect snow in winter, I love a good snowfall and always dream of a white Christmas! No school snow days were a big deal…even for my dad who was a high school teacher. Dad would even flood our back yard in the winter making a skating rink for us. We'd spend our winter days skating and playing outside making snow forts, snowmen, and snow angels. I still make a pretty darn good snow angel…just sayin. Fortunately, my own kids loved snow days as much as I did growing up…sledding was there favorite snowy day activity. I remember calling their snow days from school, "drop everything & play days" because that's what we did.
I made this card with all those snowy day memories in mind.
You can download a free project sheet to make this card too. Download Project Sheet – Free Skate meets Feels Like Frost DSP.
I've also included a link to a previous post where I demonstrated making this card using the Sponging Technique so be sure to check that out as well. http://bit.ly/2XafSmH

A beautiful snow fall to me is God's creativity at work, and oh how magnificent it is! Wishing you warmth, peace, and fun on snowy days and always!
Beautiful….wonder if I could still skate? We use to skate on my grandparents pond and build a fire to keep our hands and feet warm. She always sent a thermos of hot chocolate with us! Memories…the best!
I bet you could still skate, Susi Brunk. Love hearing of your pond skating memories.
