Halloween is past. Perhaps you've already started planning your Thanksgiving menu. If so, you are probably also making holiday lists for shopping, baking, decorating, and crafting too, I suspect. The Joy & Noel Stamp Set featured in the Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalog makes beautiful cards and lends itself to coloring with a variety of coloring tools. I did these cards for a Color Challenge. Poppy Parade, Petal Pink, and Shaded Spruce provide a little twist to the traditional red and green Christmas colors. I think these poinsettias look beautiful and festive.
A couple tips for using the Joy & Noel Stamp Set: I suggest using the Stamparatus and coordinating Small Grip Paper with this stamp set. The Small Grid Paper makes it easy to line up each of the words in a perfect vertical or horizontal line. Using the Stamparatus allows you to stamp the image repeatedly on top of itself to get a solid, bold image of the words.
Choose your coloring tools. I used Stampin' Blends in Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce, and Daffodil Delight in both their light and dark shades. Be sure to stamp with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink when using the Stampin' Blends markers. Other choices of coloring tools include the Stampin' Write Markers, Watercolor Pencils, and Classic Stampin' Pads with Blender Pens or Aqua Painters. For each of these coloring tools, I suggest using Black Staz-On Ink.
I used 1/8" matting between layers instead of the typical 1/4". I wanted the matting to be smaller to compliment the fine lines and details of the floral images. Add a few Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to your finished cards to add a bit of elegance to this already very beautiful card. The Take Your Pick Tool makes it easy to pick up and perfectly place the Artisan Pearls.
