Today's card was created by my Demo Diva friend, Anna Haase. She used the Swirly Bird stamp set to create her sailboat. I love Anna's use of Cucumber Crush on this card. I always seem to get stuck in a rut using reds and blues for sailboat, so this reminds me to step out of my comfort zone. Thanks for sharing your creation with me, Anna, so I can share it with all my Stampin' Peace friends.
TIP: For sail, ink up the solid image with Cucumber Crush Classic Ink Pad, stamp on scrap paper, then stamp on Whisper White card stock without re-inking. (This is known as the "stamping off" technique when you want to get a lighter shade of a particular color.) The you will ink up the striped sail with Cucumber Crush ink and stamp directly over the solid sail. The Swirly Bird stamp set is photopolymer which makes it very easy to stamp the second image on top of the first.
Such a cute card. Love the ribbon, it really sets the boat off.
